Job Description
AERIUM is currently looking for a Research and Development Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis, based at our Head Office location in Calgary.
This position is responsible for:
Ø Assisting with mechanical and mechatronics design of airframes, payloads, and other components.
Ø Identifying and working with vendors and suppliers to obtain prototype components
Ø Developing product assembly procedures and work instructions
Ø Conducting quality inspections to ensure Product Standards
Ø Completing and Maintaining Documentation
Ø Collaborating with Team Members to Improve Processes and Techniques
Ø Assembling and Soldering Components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
Ø Following Safety Protocols and Maintaining a Clean and Organized Work Area
Key Qualifications
Ø Strong Aptitude for Mechanical and Electronics Systems.
Ø Relevant Technical Certification or Vocational Training.
Ø Design experience with SolidWorks or similar (PTC Creo, AutoDesk Inventor, stc)
Ø 3+ Years’ Experience in a Similar Role.
Ø Experience with troubleshooting and operating robotic systems. Industry experience with drones, or autonomous vehicles is a strong asset.
Ø Excellent Attention to Detail and manual dexterity.
Ø Strong Problem-Solving, Communication and Teamwork skills.
Ø Transport Canada Drone pilot certification (Basic or Advanced) would be an asset.
